Kanjian International Team Attends MusicAlly Connect 2024: Amplifying China’s Voice in the Global Music Industry

On January 22 and 23, 2024, the MusicAlly Connect 2024 International Music Industry Annual Forum took place in London. This high-level music industry event, the only one of its kind in the region, brought together 70 decision-makers from various sectors of the global music industry. Focusing on music content, technology, and the intersection with other industries, the event explored broader market opportunities and offered deep insights and discussions on cutting-edge issues facing the music industry.

MusicAlly Connect 2024 examines the music industry from diverse perspectives, covering topics such as the convergence of AI and gaming, new frontiers in music publishing and sustainability, addressing reliability in streaming, exploring international market opportunities, video content innovation, and collaboration with music startups. These themes reflect the dynamic and evolving nature of the industry.

At this year’s MusicAlly Connect 2024, the Kanjian International team not only showcased Kanjian Music’s innovative models and products for the commercial growth of digital music but also shared in-depth insights on the Chinese market with global industry professionals. Tinko Georgiev, Vice President of International Business at Kanjian Music, highlighted that in the face of increasing interest in intellectual property rights and the rise of digital consumption, Chinese digital platforms—both traditional streaming services and innovative non-streaming platforms—are at the forefront of music copyright monetization. Genres like pop, hip-hop, rock, electronic music, and even traditional Chinese music are consumed in various forms, from traditional streaming to digital media in Chinese-made cars, televisions, sound systems, films, documentaries, and short videos. International music content is also entering China through multiple channels, with many international labels earning millions of dollars in revenue through Kanjian’s gateway to the Chinese market. China remains open to the global industry.

Furthermore, Tinko Georgiev introduced Kanjian Music’s pioneering “Intelligent BI,” which leverages 12 years of industry experience and cross-channel global payment advantages to match music content with the needs of both supply and demand sides using advanced data and algorithms. In 2023, Kanjian’s Intelligent BI facilitated over 120 projects, providing high-quality content to brands such as Air China, Huawei, Keep, Himalaya, Chevrolet, DJI, VN APP, MOO Sound, and Three Monkeys. It also collaborated with artists and labels such as Huang Ling, Chen Leyi, Hatsune Miku, VESKGREEN-Qingcai, GAYA, Monstercat, the Shangri-La Folk Music Preservation Association, and others. By optimizing resource allocation and increasing exposure, Intelligent BI provided global promotions to artists like Tengger, Tan Weiwei, Sun Nan, Huang Ling, Wen Junhui, Ah Si, Wu Yi, Yan Mingxi, Zhang Yuan, Yu Zhen, and bands like Island Mood and Liangren, with total exposure reaching billions of views.

For over 10 years, Kanjian has been based in China and Asia, building a network that efficiently manages global digital music assets and fosters commercial growth. It serves as a key bridge for “exporting” Chinese and Asian music content to the world and “importing” global music content into China. Since 2016, Kanjian has been actively participating in global music industry events, often speaking and hosting roundtable discussions to introduce commercial opportunities in the Chinese and Asian markets. Kanjian continues to help bring outstanding global music and content into China and Asia at low cost.

Kanjian Music not only actively promotes China’s music industry at global events but also continues to amplify the voice of China in the international music market. In 2023, Kanjian hosted the IMX International Music Expo, introducing an innovative hybrid model that combined online and offline interactive formats, enhancing communication and expanding reach. IMX 2023 saw participation from 342 industry elites and over 1,392 artists from 62 countries and regions, offering offline events and online streaming. It created new global exposure, partnerships, and business opportunities, while delivering fresh perspectives, new works, technologies, products, and services to the global music industry.

In 2024, the year of Jiachen, Kanjian will continue to provide the music industry with efficient operational tools, creating more opportunities for music commercial growth, and bringing China’s innovative voice to the global music industry. Kanjian will advance the evolution of asset circulation, operations, and decision-making efficiency in the music content industry through technology, supporting global creators, enhancing creativity, and expanding the commercial applications of music. By leveraging technology, Kanjian aims to provide the next generation of international digital operating structures for the music content industry, accelerating the digital and commercial progress of the sector.
